THE EX-CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF INTERPROMBANK WAS DECLARED BANKRUPT
Vasily Zipukho, who held the position of chairman of the Management Board in the bankrupt Interprombank, was declared bankrupt on March 27 (case no.A40-25553/2024). The initiator of the lawsuit was the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA), approved by the bankruptcy trustee of the credit institution. The third stage of the register included the obligations of the former banker in the amount of almost 260 million rubles. The court approved Larisa Rodikova, representing the Union of Arbitration Managers "Self-regulating Organization "Delo", as the financial manager.

Interprombank went bankrupt in August 2021 at the initiative of the Central Bank of Russia, which revoked the license in April. In November, the decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court (the Moscow Arbitration Court) was supported by an appeal. As of March 2021, the amount of insurance compensation to depositors of the credit institution was 4.3 billion rubles. According to Interfax, before its bankruptcy, the bank was ranked 140th in terms of assets in the rating of Russian financial structures.

At the end of 2022, the DIA Group filed a petition with the court, demanding to recover losses in the amount of 232.6 million from two ex-chairmen (Zipukho and Shmarov). The agency asked to arrest the assets of bankers for this amount. The Arbitration Court of the city of Moscow refused to introduce interim measures. This verdict was upheld on appeal in March 2023. However, the district court decided otherwise and on May 18, 2023, the money of both bankers was arrested.

In June 2023, the DIA Group of Companies asked the Moscow Arbitration Court to involve several former bank executives (Pavel Shmarov, Vasily Zipukho, Maria Kadulina) and its owner Dmitry Mazurov in the subsidy. The amount of liability potentially exceeded 12 billion. The bankers' assets in the range of 12.5 billion for each of the defendants in the case were arrested at the request of the DIA.
