On October 24, 2023, the coordinating distribution center (CRC) EFKO-Cascade appealed to the court. The petition was sent to the arbitration of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region in the framework of the bankruptcy case "ROCK-1" (No. A56-112112/2022). In it, the creditor of the largest fish processing enterprise in the north-west demanded that the owner of ROCK-1, Alexander Starobinsky, be held accountable.

The court accepted the petition of the CRC for consideration. On November 7, 2023, Judge Olesya Dudina issued a ruling, setting January 24, 2024 as the date for consideration of a separate dispute. According to Fedresurs, the corresponding petition was received on November 14, 2023.

Earlier, Rusbankrot has already covered the situation related to the bankruptcy of ROCK-1. The company itself filed for insolvency in arbitration in November 2022. Despite the difficulties with paying off loans, the company managed to finish 2021 with a profit.

In August 2022, the situation deteriorated sharply. The interim measures introduced by Sberbank led to the shutdown of two production sites of the enterprise. Several hundred employees were out of work.

In August 2023, ROCK-1 was declared insolvent. As Rusbankrot reported, creditors held a meeting in mid-July. Its result was a petition sent to arbitration to declare the company bankrupt. At that time, the amount of more than 3.85 billion rubles of debt to creditors appeared in the register. At the same time , the property of the company itself was estimated at 5.7 billion.
