The St. Petersburg shoe factory has been officially liquidated
In St. Petersburg, arbitration put an end to the case of the Skorokhod children's shoe factory. The court completed the bankruptcy proceedings, ordering the company to be excluded from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Thus, the legal successor of the famous Soviet enterprise ceased to exist.

The history of the company began in the 19th century. In 1882, the factory was founded by the German entrepreneur Henry Kirstein. Three years later, leather and shoe production buildings were built near the Moscow Outpost. During the siege of Leningrad, army shoes and military products were produced here.

The bankruptcy procedure began 4 years ago. In the summer of 2021, the company filed for insolvency itself, the monitoring stage was introduced in the fall, and in September 2022, the organization was declared bankrupt. Since that time, bankruptcy proceedings have been in effect against Skorokhod.

In April 2023 " (https://rusbankrot.ru/legislative-news/fabrika-skorokhod-rasschitaetsya-s-kreditorami-detskoy-obuvyu... (https://rusbankrot.ru/legislative-news/fabrika-skorokhod-rasschitaetsya-s-kreditorami-detskoy-obuvyu...) " (https://rusbankrot.ru/legislative-news/fabrika-skorokhod-rasschitaetsya-s-kreditorami-detskoy-obuvyu... ) wrote about how Skorokhod plans to put up for auction over 5,000 pairs of children's shoes. This product appeared as collateral in the deal that the factory concluded with Sberbank.

As the manager noted, commenting on the fate of the enterprise, it, in fact, had no assets and actually stopped operations. All possible measures for the sale of property and the formation of the bankruptcy estate were taken, but they did not give a significant result. Only a small part of the debts were recovered at the auction, after which the court declared the procedure exhausted.

The company's obligations to creditors turned out to be significant.  The register of the second stage included claims from 260 individuals for 44.5 million. Only 1.4 million (3% of the total) were satisfied. The factory left those who got into the third queue (26 persons with claims for 85.8 million) with nothing. No arrears to the staff were identified.

The financial performance of the factory was rapidly deteriorating in the late 2010s. If in 2017 revenue reached 444.6 million, by 2020 it had almost halved, amounting to 233.1 million. At the same time, the profit was replaced by losses of 57.3 million rubles. In 2023, the company showed zero revenue and losses of 23.4 million.

An attempt to bring to justice the ex-head and co-owner of the company Dmitry Anokhin ended in failure. In May last year, the arbitration court dismissed the claim. Anokhin owned only 17% of the company. The main beneficiary with an 83% stake, Vadim Bochkarev, was declared insolvent last year due to a debt of $3.7 million.
