THE SCANDALOUS DEVELOPER FROM KHMAO WAS TAKEN UNDER SURVEILLANCE

Arbitration of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) established a procedure for monitoring the firm "Verso-Monolith". His "daughter" in the person of "Verso-Monolit invest" had previously applied to the court about this. The register of claims includes an amount of 72.9 million rubles. The procedure is scheduled to be completed in January 2023.

In April 2022, it became known that the mayor's office ordered Verso-Monolit Invest, which had not handed over an object in the Khanty-Mansiysk residential complex "Irtysh" a couple of years ago, to pay penalties in the amount of more than 350 million rubles through the court. This is reported by the portal pravdaurfo.ru .

In total, claims in the amount of more than 473 million were submitted to the company according to the execution sheets. The organization's losses for 2021 amounted to 152.3 million, which almost corresponds to the amount of revenue received for the year (156.1 million).

Verso-Monolith is one of the key enterprises of the holding, the main owner of which is the Azerbaijani oligarch Mehraja Babayeva. Formally, the owners of the organization are Nariman Aliyev and Faig Zhafarov, each of whom owns shares of 45%. The third founder with a 10% stake is Dilgam Mammadov. At the same time, all shares are pledged by Sberbank.

Experts emphasize that until 2018, the construction holding successfully operated in the KhMAO market, winning various government contracts. However, then the situation began to change. The company was involved in the main scandal that arose around the clinical hospital of Nizhnevartovsk, which became the main district long-term construction. And claims from government agencies, the FSB, the Federal Tax Service and Sberbank literally showered on the firm.

To date, the main creditors are the shipping company "Aganrechtras" and the firm "Arfen Osno". Debt obligations to them amount to 36.4 million and 15 million, respectively.

Sources emphasize that there are financial issues with other enterprises of the holding. The company "Verso-M" in Ryazan was also previously taken under surveillance. And in Azerbaijan itself, law enforcement agencies have questions for the main shareholder.
