"THE MUSEUM OF THE UPRISING OF MACHINES" WAS CONVICTED OF DELIBERATE BANKRUPTCY
On June 1, the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region declared the organization insolvent (case no. A56-98489/2021). The museum's debt to the sole creditor amounted to more than 4.7 million rubles. Anna Molchan from Chelyabinsk, representing the association of SRO "MCPU", was appointed the bankruptcy trustee in the case. The next court hearing is scheduled for November 30, 2022.

The history of the museum dates back to 2010. Then an art forge was created in St. Petersburg, representing the characters of Hollywood blockbusters. A few years later, in 2014, the "Machine Uprising Museum" appeared in Pargolovo as an entertainment center. A few years later, in 2017, the center closed its doors to visitors, and the "Museum" appeared in the capital.

The organization rented the building of the former AZLK Museum (Automobile Plant named after Lenin Komsomol) the Technopolis "Moscow", formed by the metropolitan administration for property management. He leased 2 thousand square meters of space to the company until mid-2020. However, the financial income dried up, the lease agreement was terminated. Representatives of the landlord went to court to recover the debt.

Later, the number of creditors included the tax authorities, who demanded 263 thousand from the company.

At the same time, the "Museum" continued its work, but already on the site of the art space "Red October" - it moved there in November 2020. The "Museum" located in the new location formally had no relation to the former legal entity. At first, it was issued to the entrepreneur Yelisei Sinelnikov (until 2018, his father was one of the founders of LLC). Now Anna Gushchina is listed on the website as the owner.

Experts suggest that in the bankruptcy process, the founders may turn out to be subsidiary defendants. This, in particular, is indicated by the existence of grounds to challenge the debtor's transactions and the signs of deliberate bankruptcy revealed by the temporary manager.

Apparently, the organization could engage in the practice of establishing parallel economic entities, to which the assets of a legal entity recognized as bankrupt were transferred. Whether this is the case will become clear in the process of bankruptcy proceedings, to which the organization has moved since June 2022.
