Elena Kopaygora, the wife of the famous Surgut entrepreneur Andrey Kopaygora, may become bankrupt. The bankruptcy trustee of the bankrupt Elkap plant in Surgut appealed to the arbitration of the KhMAO. The debt obligations of the company, the founder of which was Kopaygora, exceed 18 million rubles.

Since October 17, 2021, the company has been managed by Dmitry Mityushev. The plant was declared insolvent, and creditors' claims exceeded billions. One of the major debts – liabilities in the amount of 5.46 billion rubles – are the claims of the Trust bank.

Earlier, Mityushev had already applied to arbitration with a petition, demanding that several agreements concluded between the plant and the wife of its owner be recognized as fiction. The salary for them was transferred to Elena Kopaygora in the period from October 2019 to October 2020. The court supported the bankruptcy trustee, obliging him to return 1.5 million to the bankruptcy estate.

Andrey Kopaygora has been going through the debt restructuring procedure since March 2021. Surgutneftegazbank took the initiative to declare the entrepreneur bankrupt earlier. The basis is a debt to a credit institution in the amount of 40 million rubles. Since July 2021, the businessman is officially considered bankrupt.

In January 2023, the next auction for the sale of the assets of the Elkap plant started. The materials of the enterprise were put up for sale for 313.3 million. They have already tried to implement them in August 2022. Then the initial price was 348.12 million, according to local media. However, there were no buyers and the auction had to be held anew.

The Elkap plant is not the only asset of Kopaygora to which creditors' claims are addressed. Many transactions of the Surgut businessman have already been challenged. In particular, an application was submitted to the arbitration court to invalidate the transaction on the alienation of the businessman's property to his son. Daniil Andreevich Kopaygora received from his father two residential buildings near St. Petersburg. Their area is 385 square meters and 178 square meters. meters.

The businessman himself, accused of fraudulent transactions, was in a pre-trial detention center for some time. Then he was released under house arrest, as the entrepreneur's health condition deteriorated significantly.
