THE LUGA MEAT PROCESSING PLANT WAS DECLARED BANKRUPT
The Arbitration Court in St. Petersburg recognized the bankruptcy of the Luga Meat Processing Plant (JSC LMC). The decision was published on September 13, 2023 (case no. A56-7865/2023). To date, the amount of claims against the company has amounted to 1,194,718,984,63 rubles.
The history of the financial problems that have befallen the combine in the city of Luga has been repeatedly covered in the publications of Rusbankrot. In April 2022, information about a bankruptcy lawsuit filed against the company appeared in the court file. After a lawsuit with the Rosselkhoznadzor (the majority shareholder of the defendant), which ended in the fall of 2021 with a verdict on the recovery of 1.5 billion rubles from the Luga Meat Processing Plant, the prospect of declaring the organization insolvent became obvious.
In 2021, bankruptcy did not happen, the company found an investor in the person of Transagro. She planned to restart production. However, the arrest imposed on the property of the plant confused the plans. The investor decided to freeze the project. Soon the company went into bankruptcy.
At the beginning of 2023, the plant initiated a lawsuit. In April, the Luga Meat Processing Plant was taken under surveillance. As reported by Rusbankrot, in the previous year the company's revenue decreased by 62%, amounting to 589 thousand rubles. The firm in 2022 showed losses of 43.4 million. At the same time, the organization has not conducted economic activity since 2014. The company had only 2 employees.
In August 2023, a meeting of creditors was held, who voted in favor of declaring the Luga Meat Processing Plant bankrupt. According to Rusbankrot, at the same time, the St. Petersburg arbitration received a petition from the interim manager Tatyana Pedchenko, in which a request was made to recognize JSC Luga Meat Processing Plant as insolvent due to the urgent need.
As a result, the organization that existed for 27 years, whose real estate located on a large plot of land with an area of 4.2 hectares occupies 3 thousand square meters, received the status of bankrupt. Bankruptcy trustee Tatiana Dokukina was instructed by the arbitration to conduct a public sale of the company's existing assets by March 6.
