THE HEAD OF AN OIL AND GAS COMPANY FROM SARATOV WILL BE TRIED FOR BANKRUPTCY
The former head of the oil and gas company "Lotos" is awaiting trial. The investigating authorities suspect the head of a number of economic crimes, including deliberate bankruptcy and fraud.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, the director of the Saratov company contributed to the accumulation of debt obligations by the enterprise for 49 million. After the firm failed to pay off its creditors, it was declared insolvent. The director himself has gradually withdrawn various financial and other assets from the organization over the past eight years.
According to the investigation, the man managed to write off about 14 million rubles from the company's accounts. He also transferred land plots, cars, an electric substation and even a tractor to the company Agrotechnologies-AG controlled by him.
According to the Saratov prosecutor's office, the director of the enterprise is charged with crimes under Articles 159, 160 and 196 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Along with fraud and deliberate bankruptcy, he is accused of embezzlement. The indictment was approved by Deputy City Prosecutor Ilya Aparin.
Sources report that the accused is a resident of the Russian capital Igor Gurenko. Currently, the property of a 60-year-old citizen and bank accounts have been arrested. The company itself, where the manager worked for so many years, functioned in the oil and gas market.
