THE EX-OWNER OF "BINBANK" BECAME BANKRUPT WITH A DEBT OF 853 BILLION
Arbitration in the Moscow region ruled on the case of the former owner of Binbank (No. A41-14838/2023). Mikail Shishkhanov owed creditors an amount of 853 billion rubles. This is 12 thousand times more than the value of the property that the banker currently owns.
In 2017, it became known about the decision of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to sanitize Binbank and Rostbank. The Central Bank's losses from the reorganization amounted to 283.9 billion. In April, they were recovered.
In the fall of 2020, the Trust bank applied to the court against Shishkanov and several ex-executives of Binbank. He demanded 22.7 billion from the banker. The requirements for the "tops" of the credit institution amounted to 306.5 billion rubles. As a result, the court seized the banker's assets for the entire amount.
In May, as Kommersant writes, Trust appealed to a foreign court with claims for $1 billion. The defendants were well-known commodity traders. According to experts, the entrepreneur has been in collusion with them for a number of years (2013-2017), engaged in the withdrawal of financial assets.
The verdict of the court in May, over 83.85 billion was recovered from the bankrupt businessman. The requirements were presented by the company "Digital Invest", as a number of transactions were carried out through it. Burglen Finance Ltd. received loans in the amount of 44.42 billion in exchange for shares of Grossgrove Ltd., estimated at 1.2 billion rubles. Another recipient of borrowed funds in the amount of 12.1 billion was Foaliri Trading Ltd. The loss on transactions amounted to 10.8 billion.
On June 15, 2023, Rusbankrot has already talked about the requirements to Shishkhanov for 71.17 billion, which were presented by Trust Bank in May of this year. Now the court has decided to sell the banker's property, declaring it insolvent on his own application. According to Vedomosti, he himself is not working now. The banker's only asset remains two apartments owned by him.
