THE CONVICTED EX-DEPUTY IS BANKRUPTED BY HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW
The Perm arbitration has received a claim for the insolvency of Yegor Zavorokhin. The initiator of the bankruptcy was the defendant's brother-in-law, Sergey Fedorets. The application was received on March 10, 2023 (case no. A50-6090/2023) and has not yet been accepted for consideration. At the same time, the details of the case and the amount of claims have not yet been reported.

In the past, Zavorokhin headed a large defense enterprise (FSUE "Dzerzhinsky Machine-Building Plant", "ZID"). He was also a deputy in the Legislative Assembly of the region. Three years ago, the people's deputy was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for damage in the amount of 141.9 million caused by "ZID". At the same time, the ex-director and ex-deputy himself did not admit his guilt, RBC clarifies.

The investigative authorities began to engage in fraud on the basis of "ZID" in April 2017. It was found that the plant signed contracts with the company "FinansConsulting" for the maintenance of documentation in the amount of 46.6 million rubles. The volume of work performed amounted to 22.1 million. Where the rest of the amount went – remained a mystery. The police considered that the money was stolen. Among the accomplices of the criminal process was the executive director of the plant Egor Zavorokhin.

It is curious that his wife's brother Fedorets was also previously suspected of this crime. The investigation suggested that he, together with a relative, stole about 24.5 million. In May 2017, the entrepreneur was detained and interrogated. However, his involvement in operations with "cash" has not been established. As a result, in April 2020, the case against Fedorets was closed. In such cases, he did not apply for compensation for damage as part of the rehabilitation procedure.

Zavorokhin, who continues to serve his sentence for embezzlement under Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, could have been released last year. This is evidenced by the material of the Leninsky District Court of Perm from October 2022, in which Fedorets supported the request to mitigate the punishment of his relative. He called himself a creditor of the convict. The company in which he is a co-owner (50% share) sent a guarantee obligation to the court to employ Zavorokhin after leaving the general regime colony. However, to transfer the former people's deputy to correctional labor (with the opportunity to live at home) the court refused.

Earlier, Zavorokhin's property, including a plot of land (3,286 sq. m.), a country house (68.3 sq. m.) and a Lexus car (2012 year of manufacture), came under foreclosure. At the same time, the mansion in Perm, where the ex-director lived, was not issued to the convict and was not sanctioned. Law enforcement agencies suspect Zavorokhin of several other crimes. Since mid-2022, another case has been heard in court. This time, the ex-deputy is suspected of several crimes at once, including fraud, embezzlement and embezzlement.
