THE BANKRUPTCY OF MEGAPOLIS BANK WAS PREMEDITATED
Earlier, Rusbankrot has already published materials about the bankruptcy of Megapolis. It was initiated by the Central Bank represented by the republican branch in the Chuvash Republic. The regulator left the bank without a license on March 26, 2021, having accused it of violating the law. In the process of studying the activities of the bank for the three years preceding the revocation of the license, the experts found interesting information.
The document, published on the website of the court says that the price of the bank's real assets is less than 3.58 billion rubles, while the book value of the bank, according to its own reports, was 4.41 billion rubles at the time of the loss of the license. Experts estimated the size of the bank's liabilities at almost 4 billion rubles.
Thus, the assets of the organization turned out to be less than its debt by 417.56 million rubles.
Operations and transactions of the bank, which were examined by representatives of the interim administration, made it possible to say that the organization was deliberately brought to financial collapse. The court document states that Megapolis has repeatedly ceded rights on loan debts, although there was no economic sense in such a concession.
The terms of the transactions concluded by the bank were often deliberately unfavorable, and instead of assets with high liquidity, the bank provided loans that looked like fiction.
According to experts, the damage from actions of this kind is estimated at 346.9 million rubles.
Who exactly brought Megapolis to the state of bankruptcy is still unknown, but the appearance of new facts about it can be expected from the law enforcement agencies, which received the relevant information from the court.
