TAX SERVICE IS DRIVING KHOLMSKY SEAPORT OF SAKHALIN TO BANKRUPTCY
Kholmsky Commercial Seaport (KCS) has once again become a candidate for bankruptcy. The corresponding statement came from the Sakhalin Department of the Federal Tax Service. The tax authorities demand from the organization more than 100 million rubles, which the state treasury did not receive.
The claim was signed by Marina Tuchkova, the head of the Federal Tax Service of the Sakhalin Region. On April 19, the regional arbitration court accepted the seaport's insolvency petition for proceedings. The next court session is to be held on May 5.
The seaport of Kholmsk is no stranger to bankruptcy claims. Previously, two attempts have already been made to bankrupt the port. The EcoShelf company came up with the initiatives, which were eventually rejected by the court. However, the KCS has accumulated enough claims from Ecoshelf, FSUE Rosmorport and state organizations.
The port owes to the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources (580 thousand), the Federal Transportation Inspection Service (190 thousand), REC (50 thousand) and many others.
Public interest in the Kholmsk seaport arose in 2020 after the director of the organization, Nikolai Zemlyanukhin, decided to cash in on a monopoly position by renting a part of the highway on the way to the pier and the territory of the sea terminal to several companies. Affiliated firms took payment for entry, like famous characters from the famous novel of Ilf and Petrov, who sold tickets for entering the cave.
As a result, Zemlyanukhin was fined by the prosecutor's office and disqualified for 36 months. The management of the company was replaced by a decision of the shareholders meeting. Legal battles began between those who voted for the change of leadership and those who voted against. One of the seaport owners, the Petrosakh firm, intends to change the management structure in the port, blaming the previous management for all the problems.
