St. Petersburg manicure chain «Kistochki» caught up with default
A chain of manicure salons in St. Petersburg found itself in a difficult financial situation.  The business turned out to be unable to redeem 75% of bonds in the amount of 30 million rubles.

On May 12, the company announced that on June 2, 2022 (by the loan expiration date) it would not be able to pay the necessary amount off in full, but only in the amount of 10 million rubles.  As for the rest of the debt, the firm is ready to restructure it, if the plan is supported by creditors.

The issuer of the securities is “KISTOCHKI Finance” LLC.  The company is solely owned by Igor Rudziy, also known as the owner of “Taxovichkof” taxi service and “Gruzovichkof”cargo transportation company, which has been operating since 2015.

In June 2019, the organization made a decision to issue bonds at 15% per annum for a period of 3 years.  The loans were issued to two operating firms - "Collection" and "Constellation".  By this time, there were 22 salons in the city that provided manicure and pedicure services.  Another studio was opened in the Leningrad region.
It was assumed that about 15 million rubles out of 40 million rubles that were attracted would be spent on the opening of two new studios in Moscow.
5 more million were spent on covering operating losses and the same amount was spent on the improvement of the work of existing salons.  The rest was spent on advertising and other operating charges.

However, investments in marketing turned out to be useless.  Despite the fact that the main company ended 2021 with a net profit of 11.3 million rubles, receiving 26.5 million in revenue, the Moscow studios had to be closed.  The pandemic dragged on, and the enterprises were unable to earn enough money to fully repay the loan.

Such a sad situation with “Kistochki’s” finances was reported to the “YULKM”company, which represents the interests of bondholders.  Now the company hopes that it will be possible to negotiate with investors and carry out the restructuring.  Experts also point to this, since other options for solving the problem are unlikely to return the invested funds.
