SpaceX employees ‘delighted’ with Elon Musk’s statement about possible bankruptcy of company
The founder and owner of SpaceX, Elon Musk, sent an e-mail to the company's employees last Friday, warning of a possible bankruptcy next year.  This will be likely to happen if the company does not succeed in developing Raptor space engines, designed to power Starship rockets. SpaceX planned to send people and cargo to the Moon and Mars on them.

The current ‘manufacturing crisis’ of the company was described by Musk as ‘a disaster’ much more impressive than it seemed a couple of weeks ago.  First of all, we are talking about the number of produced engines required to equip orbital and interplanetary expeditions.

SpaceX has already completed several test flights of a prototype vehicle from its Texas facility.  However, equipping each spacecraft with 39 Raptor engines will require a significant increase in production.
The production of the Raptor closed-loop liquid engines, on which Musk relied heavily, turned out to be in a deep crisis.
According to the owner of the company, if the Starship ships are not sent from Earth at least twice a month next year, the company will face bankruptcy.

It is curious that the employees of the company received the e-mail the next day after Thanksgiving.  Musk wrote that he wanted to take the vacation, but awareness of the problem forced him to work on Friday and weekends.  Two weeks earlier, the owner of SpaceX had publicly announced that he planned to send a Starship rocket from the launch pad as early as January 2022.

The company took a hit in November by the resignation of Will Heltsley, who served as a vice president for engines.  Shortly before leaving the corporation, he was excluded from the Raptor engine development project.  Now Musk writes that the top managers of the company, having re-examined the state of affairs, found the problem much more serious than before.
SpaceX is trying to build fully reusable spaceships.
But the current line of missiles is not such.  After the launch vehicle lands and starts up again, the upper part of the rocket becomes useless and should be replaced.

The cost of the SpaceX corporation itself, which employs 7,000 employees, is estimated by experts at $ 100 billion. The company recently won a $ 2.9 billion contract from NASA to develop a lander that could take astronauts to the moon.
