Sovcombank initiates bankruptcy of Fplus IT holding due to outstanding debt
Sovcombank intends to file a lawsuit declaring one of the largest Russian IT holdings, Fplus, bankrupt. Despite paying off 85% of the debt, the parties could not agree on the repayment of the remaining amount.

On August 8, a message appeared on Fedresurs about the bank's plans to file lawsuits against three legal entities of the holding, including the parent company of LLC F-Plus Equipment and Developments. The Fplus representative confirmed that most of the loan was repaid on time, and the interest and fees were paid in full. In the second quarter of 2025, negotiations began on repayment of the balance through the joint sale of goods in order not to withdraw funds from circulation. The amount of debt was not disclosed.

Earlier, Kommersant reported that the owners of Fplus sold 50% of the parent company, explaining this by preparing for an IPO. The holding's production facilities, including the production of tablets and smartphones, are loaded by only 20%. According to CNews Analytics, in 2023, the holding company took the second place among the largest IT companies in Russia with revenue of over 195 billion rubles.

Alexander Katkov, partner of Novator Legal Group, believes that the bank can use the judicial threat as a lever of pressure. In his opinion, Fplus will have to look for external financing or sell assets to settle with the lender. Experts note a decline in demand for electronics due to the high key interest rate of the Central Bank and a reduction in government procurement.
