Roskosmos has joined bankruptcy case of the Miass Machine-Building Plant
A new creditor has appeared in the bankruptcy case of Miass Machine-Building Plant (MMBP) JSC. The beneficiary of the plant - the state corporation ‘Roscosmos’ has joined bankruptcy proceedings. The company demands 3.19 million rubles from the enterprise.

The arbitration court of Chelyabinsk should consider the claims of the state corporation after the MMBP completes the monitoring phase, which began in December 2021.  Last year, the plant applied to court, having announced debts of 2.38 billion rubles.  It was supposed that the external monitoring procedure would last for 4 months, but in April it was decided to extend its period for another three months.
MMBP has already received claims from 25 creditors.
Their list also included many other structures of Roskosmos: Makeev Rocket Design Bureau, Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center and others.  Now the state corporation itself has asked to be included in the register of creditors.

The plant, which employs about 800 people, is one of the leading city enterprises.  The company produces component parts for rocket engines, which are produced by the Makeev Rocket Design Bureau (the main owner of MMBP).
At the end of March, MMBP was included in the list of sanctioned companies published on the website of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
However, the company itself says that the imposed sanctions and the external monitoring procedure do not have a significant impact on the work of the plant.  The presence of a several billion rubles debt is explained by the management of the organization by a decrease in the number of orders and the problems that have arisen with paying bank loans.
