THIS DAY IN HISTORY:
1 November 2020 Day of the Dead is celebrated in Mexico1993 The European Union was founded on November.1894 The last Russian emperor Nicholas II ascended the throne.
The Rostov radio market, praised by rapper Basta, will be closed in the nearest future. The owner of the territory has already issued an official order to the tenants to terminate the lease agreements by July 1, 2021. It is still unknown to what place the entrepreneurs will move and what awaits the market workers. The mayor's office of Rostov reported that the city administration was not involved in the closure of the market.
Eyewitnesses note that the owner's decision to close the market, which has been operating in Rostov since the 1990s, is not unexpected. Recently, rumors have been circulating around the city about the plans to sell the territory or to give it away for the construction of a residential area. After a part of the market was fenced off with building fences in early March, and construction equipment was brought into the territory, it became obvious that the market is living out its last days in its former form.
Entrepreneurs who traded in the marketplace until recently are now looking for a new business location.
According to the reports of insiders, several undeveloped areas have already been offered for trading. According to experts, in one case there may not be enough space for placing trade pavilions, in another - it is necessary to draw up documents of title for the legalization of trade. The most promising "candidate" for the move, according to the participants, may be the square at the intersection of Profsoyuznaya Street and Madoyan Street.
It is curious that the official version of the market closure has not yet been announced.
Analysts' data show that sales of many entrepreneurs dropped significantly last year. A number of tenants were forced to close their businesses, and the number of buyers from other regions, who previously regularly came to the market in Rostov-on-Don, greatly diminished.
