PLYWOOD FACTORY IN VORONEZH IS FACING BANKRUPTCY
The ForestGroup company announced its plans to file a lawsuit in arbitration to declare the Plywood Plant insolvent. The reason for initiating a lawsuit may be a debt of 2.1 million rubles. The company shared its plans on the Fedresurs portal.

The defendant is a large plywood supply company. The company has been operating in Voronezh since 2016 and is owned by Yuri Shirmankin. Alexey Shabrov is the head of the company. According to data for 2022, the organization earned about 39.3 million rubles in profit with revenue of 766.7 million.

According to sources, the entrepreneur Shirmankin also owns a Plywood Mill. However, its revenue for 2022 is almost two times less and amounts to 383.2 million. During this period, the organization suffered a loss of 28.6 million.

This is not the first time that the Plywood Factory has been in a situation bordering on bankruptcy. Previously, Progress, Biolesprom and other persons sued the company. But threats on Fedresource did not always reach court proceedings.

In 2022, a lawsuit with the Plywood Factory was initiated by TD Progress. The lawsuit was accepted by the court on December 26, 2022. At first, it was about simplified production. However, after clarifications and feedback from the defendant, the court in February 2023 moved to consider the case according to the general rules.

The basis for the claims of TD Progress was the contract that the parties signed in October 2021. The factory bought goods (timber) that were not paid on time. The amount of the debt amounted to 13,279,104.50 rubles. The company demanded to collect interest from the plant for the use of funds (Article 395 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation). Their amount amounted to 611 984.96 rubles.

In December 2023, Biolesprom filed a lawsuit against the company (case no. A14-21079/2023). The claim was accepted for consideration. It was planned to be considered on March 26, 2024. However, the plaintiff filed a motion to terminate the proceedings, since the defendant managed to repay the debt to him (more than 6.3 million) in mid-February.

On March 22, the ForestGroup company asked to enter into this insolvency case. The petition has been filed, but the results of its consideration in court have not yet been presented. It is known that the company has been operating in Vologda since 2020. The company is headed by its owner Anton Kuznetsov. According to data for 2022, the company's revenue reached 394 million.
