NOT THIS TIME. THE LAWYERS' UNION WAS NOT ALLOWED TO GO BANKRUPT
The Arbitration Court of Moscow has left without motion until December 1 the application of the Professional Union of Lawyers of Russia to declare itself bankrupt. This is reported in the court ruling.

As noted, the plaintiff did not provide the instance with a number of necessary documents. We are talking about data on the applicant's property and funds, accounts receivable and banking information, as well as about the papers proving the existence and validity of the debt to the UAZ FNPR for office rent and PRIZA LLC. The Court stressed that there is no balance sheet as of the last reporting date or documents replacing it.

Earlier, the Trade Union of Lawyers of Russia was liquidated by the decision of the Supreme Court of Russia. A lawsuit indicating a number of violations in the establishment of a trade union was filed by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, whose position in this dispute was also supported by the Federal Chamber of Lawyers (FPA).

As violations, it was pointed out that the actual goals did not correspond to the statutory ones, and the conditions for recognizing the non-profit organization as All-Russian were not met. In addition, the union duplicated the functions of the FPA, and the creation of a lawyer's union was meaningless due to the status of a lawyer.
