NORDEA BANK IS LEAVING RUSSIAN MARKET

The day before, it became known about the decision of the Nordea Group to close the bank of the same name in Russia. The corresponding announcement has already been published on the official website of the bank.

The reason for this was the desire of the company to concentrate on the Scandinavian market, in connection with which the activities in other countries, including Russia, will be terminated. At the same time, the representatives of Nordea assured that the liquidation procedure of the credit institution will be carried out in strict accordance with the rules of Russian legislation and comfortable conditions for the bank's clients to close their accounts will be created.

Nordea banks have been operating in Russia for the past 14 years - six years ago, they were among the 30 largest credit companies in the country.

However, subsequently, the bank's management decided to abandon retail lending services, focusing on the corporate and investment sector.

This year Nordea Bank ranked 95th in the Interfax-100 rating, with its assets exceeding RUB 53 billion.
