NEW ROUND OF DEVELOPMENT BEGAN IN BANKRUPTCY CASE OF SEVKABEL COMPANY
The new bankruptcy trustee of the St. Petersburg Sevkabel plant made a statement about bringing a number of persons to subsidiary liability. Among the eight persons potentially responsible for the bankruptcy of the enterprise is the managing director of the bank Trust Alexander Menshchikov.

The claim for prosecution contains the argument that a group of persons approved the conclusion of a number of agreements, without which the bankruptcy of the plant would not have occurred, reports RBC.

It is worth noting that the replacement of a bankruptcy trustee took place this spring. Previously approved Elena Savchuk, whose candidacy was nominated by the Trust bank, was removed from office.

This happened due to the fact that when appointing her, the court did not take into account the bank's affiliation with the debtor and controllability of the latter. In addition, the claims of the credit institution were lowered in the register of creditors’ claims for the same reason.

Now the court has to consider a new claim for a subsidiary liability, but the real collection can only take place after the sale of the property of the enterprise itself.

Then it will be clear what amount is necessary to settle with creditors.

The Sevkabel plant was declared insolvent at the end of last year with a total accounts payable of 6 billion rubles. At the beginning of this year Trust Bank was trying to resume the work of Sevkabel using the method of asset replacement, but so far the activity of the enterprise has not been resumed.
