According to the specialists of 2GIS, 112 public catering organizations located on the main trading floors of Moscow were closed from March to June.
During the period of self-isolation, 64 organizations ceased their activities on the Garden Ring, but 16 new were opened. 10 establishments were closed On Arbat, but only one non-food store was opened to replace them.
2500 organizations located on the territory of the Garden Ring took part in the 2GIS study, among them there are the establishments of the Arbat and Novy Arbat, Bolshaya Nikitskaya, 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya and other main streets of Moscow with the highest traffic. In total, 39 new trading floors appeared in Moscow during the period of restrictions.
Taking into account the emerged organizations, their total number decreased only by 3%.
Due to the fact that all potential buyers were on the self-isolation regime, it became unprofitable for many entrepreneurs to keep rental premises in the center of Moscow.
