KUBAN SHOE MANUFACTURER DECLARED BANKRUPT
The company "Bris-Bosphorus", registered in the village of Poltava (Krasnodar Territory), was declared insolvent. On March 13, 2023, the Arbitration court published the decision adopted in the case (No. A32-49793/2020). The bankruptcy process in 2020 was initiated by the tax authorities (MI FTS No. 11 in the Krasnodar Territory). The court approved Peter Cherepanov as the bankruptcy trustee. The next court hearing is scheduled for September 18.

The company was one of the main manufacturers of shoes in the Kuban. The volume of output exceeded 18 million pairs annually. The company was established at the end of 1999. The main owner of the business is Tatiana Luzhina. Its share in the company is 72.26%, according to RBC. Also in the structure of the enterprise there are owners from Turkey (they own 18.06%). Sovcombank (with a share of 4.65%) and Carlton (5.02%) are also co-owners of the company.

At the investment forum in Sochi in 2017, one of the structures belonging to Bris-Bosphorus (VetAnna company) agreed to create an industrial site for the production of shoes in Novorossiysk. Experts estimated investments in construction in the amount of more than 737 million.

Initially, it was assumed that the company would produce up to 10 million pairs of shoes annually. Subsequently, the company announced plans to increase production capacity to 32 million pairs. However, the project, which was planned to be launched in 2019, did not start on time. The factory failed to fill 40% of the Russian shoe market with its products.

At the beginning of 2019, it became clear that the company had serious financial problems. The problem loans were discovered by the regulator during an inspection of the work of the Vostochny Bank. In the same year, the regional structure of the Federal Tax Service filed for bankruptcy of the company. In April 2021, the company was taken under surveillance.

In the company "VetAnna" (exists since 2014 and is fully owned by Tatiana Luzhina), the situation turned out to be no less difficult. The firm was forced to ask the municipal and regional authorities to help the company with bankruptcy protection. However, the request did not take effect and the authorities of Novorossiysk initiated a bankruptcy process. Its basis was the debts on the lease of the land on which the production is located.

In 2021, Bris-Bosphorus and VetAnna ended with losses of 70.7 million and 25.7 million, respectively. The total profit of both companies amounted to about 1 billion.
