ITALIAN “LIVORNO” FOOTBALL CLUB IS ON THE VERGE OF BANKRUPTCY

One of the football clubs of Italy with a history of nearly a century has run into the financial difficulties and could eventually go bankrupt. We are talking about Livorno FC from the Italian city of the same name in Tuscany.

The problems began after the arrest of the owner of the club - Maid Yusif, who, according to the preliminary data, was detained in the case of the sale of expensive cars. However, it is believed that this activity could be just a cover for his drug business.

The club cannot exist without an owner and the finances - now it is preoccupied with the need to find a leader and the new sponsors.

It should be noted that in general, the football clubs around the world have had a hard time in recent months: the cancellation of the mass events, including football matches, has been almost the first measure to combat the spread of COVID-19.

According to the experts, not all the clubs will be able to withstand such a pressure. The most serious blow would fall on those that, even before the pandemic, had a number of financial problems.

In particular, the difficulties are outlined for the Spanish Valencia FC, the Italian Bologna FC, the French Nimes, the German Paderborn and the English Brighton. Each of them might face serious financial problems and the need to quickly find the ways to resolve them.
