IN THE PROFITMED PHARMACEUTICAL DISTRIBUTOR, SURVEILLANCE WAS INTRODUCED

The capital arbitration Court has introduced bankruptcy proceedings in the company "Profitmed". The company's declared debt to creditors is almost 2 billion rubles. According to experts, the organization is unlikely to be able to pay off on its own. There is a high probability that she will soon be declared bankrupt.

The company has been operating in Russia since 1994. At the moment, information about the composition of its shareholders is closed. Two decades ago, FC Profit House, founded by Viktor Kharitonin, figured among the business owners. Thus, the owner of Pharmstandard could be related to Profitmed. Evgeny Trigas, the head of the Board of Directors, was a co-owner of the business.

According to Vedomosti, last year the company was in good standing and was one of the ten largest companies engaged in the sale of medicines in Russia. However, after a significant number of employees left the organization due to dismissal, contractors began to address the company with claims.

Former partners and clients of the company began to file lawsuits in court. If in 2022 the volume of 38 such claims amounted to 541 million, then this year 115 more applications were added to them. Their total amount was 1.9 billion rubles.

In 2022, the company suffered losses of 8.8 billion. The firm's assets decreased by 30%. The firm lost a fifth of its revenue compared to the previous period. Such data is provided by experts. At the same time, Profitmed's turnover amounted to 56.8 billion rubles, and the company itself held a market share of 2.6%.

At the beginning of 2023, the scientific and production company "Eklif" filed a claim for bankruptcy of the organization. Soon credit organizations, including Sberbank, Soyuz and Zenit, joined it. All of them failed to reach an understanding with the management of Profitmed at the stage of pre-trial settlement.

It is noted that so far only surveillance has been introduced in the organization, which means it is too early to make an obituary for a business that is still operating. However, the probability that the firm will be declared insolvent and will begin to sell off assets is very high.
