IN NIZHNY NOVGOROD, THE AUTHORITIES ARE LIQUIDATING A SUPPLIER OF FOOD FOR KINDERGARTENS

The Nizhny Novgorod mayor signed an act on the liquidation of the enterprise that supplied the city's schools and kindergartens with food. We are talking about the "Unified Center of Municipal Order" (ECMZ). The organization could not cope with the price increase, so the authorities decided to liquidate it by the end of 2022.

Information about the plans of the Nizhny Novgorod City Hall to liquidate the organization was published on the city website. It is planned that a special liquidation commission will deal with all financial issues of the ECMZ in order to remove the organization from the property register of the municipality by December 31.

Initially, the mayor's office did not plan to close the company. The economic situation in the country and the city caused the losses of the ECMZ, but in the spring the authorities announced plans to reorganize the activities of the legal entity.

Prices rose, and the company continued to work, generating losses. Contracts for the supply of products to schools and kindergartens were concluded at the end of 2021 at prices very different from current prices.

The head of the department responsible for the economic development of Nizhny Novgorod, in the spring of 2022, stated that there were no plans to close the enterprise. By the summer, the situation had apparently escalated so much that the authorities decided to close the EMCZ by the beginning of December.

Recall that last year, the EMCZ already got into the scandalous summary of the city prosecutor's office. Then it was about the former head of the organization, who wrote himself incentive allowances without the consent of the city administration, which is the founder of the company.

According to the prosecutor's office, it was about damage in excess of 600 thousand. The criminal prosecution of the head was initiated under part 3 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The ex-director was charged with major damage caused to the company with aggravating circumstances (use of official position).
