The Iceberg company, which was engaged in garbage collection in Novosibirsk, was declared insolvent. Over the next six months, the company will have to go through the procedure of bankruptcy proceedings. The reason for the bankruptcy, experts call the debts of the regional operator, as well as a reduction in the volume of raw materials supplied for processing.

The initiator of the bankruptcy was the company "Spectrum+", which filed a lawsuit in early 2022. The financial requirements of the lender that provided the transport on the right of lease exceeded 120 million rubles. During the consideration of the case, the amount of more than 250 million rubles was entered into the register of the company's debts to the main creditors. At the same time, the court refused to introduce external management or apply other health measures against the company.

As it is known, the organization owned a production facility (one of three in the city) for processing separately collected garbage and about 1.5 thousand containers. The value of the reserves owned by the organization was estimated at 2.6 million rubles (as of March 31).

The Iceberg company has been operating in Novosibirsk since mid-2017. The founders are officially an entrepreneur from St. Petersburg Irina Volkova, "Trust No. 37", "Leningradspetsstroy". A few years ago, the organization was considered the largest participant in the urban garbage market.

In 2019, the company received about 63% of the solid municipal waste (MSW) transportation market. In 2020, the company also managed to conclude contracts with the regional operator Ecology-Novosibirsk (also in the process of bankruptcy) for 1.1 billion rubles.

At the same time, despite the billion-dollar revenue, the company ended the year with losses of 26 million. In November 2020, contracts with Ecology-Novosibirsk were terminated, because, as the representative of Iceberg reported, the regional operator stopped paying off debts.
