EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS: HERMITAGE RADIO STARTED TO COLLECT FUNDS THROUGH CROWDFUNDING PLATFORM
The Culture Radio Company, against which the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) is conducting bankruptcy proceedings, has started collecting funds from the population. The corresponding announcement was published on the website of the Hermitage radio station. The fundraising itself is carried out through the Planet digital platform.

The organizers of the action plan to raise an amount of 15 million rubles within one quarter. If this happens, the company will be able to pay the DIA the required amount, even if it loses the case in court.

In April, Rusbankrot already wrote about the DIA's attempt to bankrupt Culture Radio CJSC. The CEO of company is Tatyana Bazhanova, whose husband Sergei ran the Saint Petersburg International bank, which collapsed in 2018.

In an address to the audience on the Hermitage website, it is reported that the last year was marked by a serious reduction in advertising budgets for the company, which remained the only source of its profitability.

The management of the radio channel hopes that the situation can be improved in the future, but for this it is necessary to survive, and the company cannot quickly find the necessary amount for settlements with the DIA.

In response to donations from lovers of quality music, the radio station promises to provide the necessary support to its audience. In particular, a donation in the amount of 200 rubles will allow the donator to get a corporate calendar with the signs of the radio station. A gift of one thousand rubles will allow you to take part in a concert of jazz performers. The radio also promises to thank everyone who donates 500 rubles to support the channel during live broadcast.

It is known that the first five days brought the organizers of the action 121 thousand rubles. Obviously, if such rates of collection (less than 1% of the required amount per week) continue, the Hermitage will not have time to collect the required amount and, most likely, will be forced to cease its activities. It is not known which of the St. Petersburg broadcasters in this case will occupy the broadcast frequency of 90.1 FM.

Over the past year, the radio company that runs the Hermitage has reduced its revenue by 40%.

The radio station continues to be unprofitable for the second year. At the same time, there is still hope for the listeners, the number of which reaches 230 thousand per day. The next hearing of the participants in the trial is scheduled for July 2.
