"DEADLY FAMOUS" IN MOSCOW, THE CLINIC WILL GO BANKRUPT
The bankruptcy procedure of the arbitration of the Russian capital was introduced in relation to the business company "Medicine 24/7". The medical center, which was deprived of its license in June 2022, was under the management of a legal entity. This happened after an inspection conducted by Roszdravnadzor in response to numerous requests from patients.

The clinic received wide publicity after the public outcry caused by the death of a patient in 2019. The institution could not resist after such a blow to its business reputation. The volume of financial revenue has almost halved from 1.68 billion in 2020 to 958.8 million in 2021.

Law enforcement officers opened a case on the criminal provision of services that do not meet security requirements. Investigators found out that the medical center accepted clients with cerebral circulatory disorders. However, the institution did not have an appropriate base (equipment and specialists) for treatment.

One of the cases turned into a tragedy. A woman who complained of heart pain turned to the clinic. There was no cardiology department equipped with a room for intensive care and an intensive care unit in the institution. The patient died of a myocardial infarction after undergoing an examination. The clinic could not save her life. The clinic received a fine of 100 thousand rubles in 2020.

In the fall of 2021, two doctors of the clinic and its former head were charged in a criminal case. Tragic cases of patients passing away, which became known during the work of investigators, were attached to the case.

The financial condition of the institution has been greatly shaken due to the sharp outflow of visitors. If in 2020 the company's profit exceeded 565 million, then in 2021 the organization ended with a net loss of 145.3 million. Numerous lawsuits of the clinic with applicants demanding compensation for damages have begun in the courts.

In 2021, eight lawsuits were filed against the clinic with a total amount of 46.2 million rubles. Last year, the organization received 17 more lawsuits in the amount of more than 27 million. 2 more applications in the amount of 1.3 million – in January of this year. However, in the fall of 2022, the institution appealed to the court with a request to declare it insolvent. On January 16, the Moscow Arbitration Court considered the claim, recognizing it as justified (case no. A40-212872/2022).
