COLLAPSED DUE TO NEW RESTRICTIONS: OVER 170 RESTAURANTS OF MOSCOW WENT BANKRUPT IN THREE WEEKS
This shocking figure is almost equal to the results of the entire last year.  Then 208 public catering enterprises turned out to be insolvent.

As the ombudsman for the protection of the capital's entrepreneurs and concurrently restaurateur Anastasia Tatulova said in an interview with the host of Moscow Speaks, the cafes will not survive the new lockdown. At the moment, catering establishments are in the brink of bankruptcy. One establishment is closed almost every day.

She noted that she did not believe that the treasury would find enough funds to tangibly help restaurateurs.

Although, according to a survey of entrepreneurs conducted by the Oprosso online service, more than 60% of the country's businessmen were prepared for the lockdown. They transferred many employees to remote work and set up the work of IT systems.

A third of them are confident that working online would not damage their business in a few months time.

In her interview, Anastasia Tatulova said that now it is impossible to count, how many employees of public catering establishments have been vaccinated. She asked not to punish restaurateurs with a ruble if they did not have time to fulfill the requirements for catering - to vaccinate 60% of employees by mid-July.

As a reminder, less than a month ago, the Moscow government introduced new support measures for catering enterprises to soften the blow from the new restrictions. For example, they were allowed not to pay rent for the third quarter of this year. This was said about the areas that are owned by the city. The administration provides an adjournment until 31 December. They can also receive subsidies in the amount of 1 million rubles.
