CHILDREN'S ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS OF ABAKAN MAY CEASE TO EXIST

The entrepreneurs from Abakan who own the children's entertainment centers are sounding the alarm. The restrictions imposed by the state authorities due to the pandemic can completely deplete their business. The appeals to the regional authorities have not had any results yet, and the last response from the authorities was received more than a month ago.

The businessmen, for a significant part of whom their business is a family affair, talk about the possibility of an imminent bankruptcy, if they are not allowed to open their centers. Local entrepreneur Alena Plastunova says that the authorities are simply ignoring the problem. If the initial appeals to the head of the region Valentin Konovalov through the social networks provoked some kind of reaction, then later the authorities chose not to respond to the business requests.

The owners of children's centers point to a violation of social justice in the economic policy of the authorities.

The specifics of business the entrepreneurs point to does not allow them to hope for the special benefits from the state. Parks and fitness clubs have already started operating in Abakan, zoos and museums have been opened, cinemas are planned to be resume their work, but the children's centers continue to remain locked up, suffering serious losses.

The experts explain the reason for such contradictions in the policy of the authorities by the complex epidemiological situation in the region and particularly in the capital of the republic – in the city of Abakan. The high incidence of community-acquired pneumonia still remains. According to the operational headquarters, almost half of the cases are the result of coronavirus infection.

The number of children among the sick remains relatively high - about 11%.

The official data as of July 21 across the republic is as follows: there are 2649 infected patients, 507 of whom are currently being treated. Almost 20% of patients who catch cold in the region are the carriers of the COVID-19.
