One of the oldest milk processing enterprises in the Kaliningrad region came under surveillance. The bankruptcy procedure of the butter and cheese factory in the city of Pravdinsk was introduced on January 23 by the arbitration court in the framework of the bankruptcy case (No. A21-13415/2022).

The initiator of the process in November 2022 was Raiffeisenbank, which submitted claims in the amount of more than 13.42 million rubles. The company received a similar claim in the amount of 13.4 million rubles from businessman Mikhail Demushkin.

Earlier, the regional authorities recognized the company as one of the oldest in the Kaliningrad region. The company was established 75 years ago and during its work has repeatedly been awarded various professional prizes at the All-Union (in Soviet times) and All-Russian level.

In recent years, business at the Pravdinsky Oil and Cheese Factory has not been very successful. In 2016, as reported by local media, employees of Rospotrebnadzor in the process of checking the quality of the plant's products revealed violations of a number of microbiological indicators. In 2021, the company received revenue of almost 40 million rubles. At the same time, the company's losses exceeded 13.682 million.

The territory of the plant is about 2 hectares. It houses production workshops where butter, cheese, and whole-milk products are produced. There are also storages and refrigerators for storing cheeses. The company is headed by Evgeny Krapivny.
