Another criminal case is being trumped up against Telman Ismailov.  According to the employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Moscow Region, the businessman filed for bankruptcy intentionally, causing damage to VTB Bank in the amount of $ 185 million.

We should remind our readers that in Russia, the businessman has been arrested in absentia.  According to the investigators, he ordered the double murder, was involved in illegal arms trafficking and kidnapped Abraham Russo.
However, he managed to go abroad, gain political asylum and get free.
The representatives of VTB reported about a crime under Art.  196 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation to the law enforcement agencies in 2019.  According to the data of the credit institution, the businessman entered into a loan agreement on behalf of his company back in September 2012.  Subsequently, additional agreements were signed, according to which the entrepreneur became a surety.  However, apparently, he was in no hurry to return the money.

In 2013, the ex-owner of the Cherkizovsky market donated several Moscow apartments to his grandson, and in 2015 he got rid of other expensive real estate.  In particular, four plots of land and a couple of residential buildings were withdrawn from his property.  The cost of the property was estimated by experts at 335 million rubles.
In March 2017, the businessman was declared insolvent.
In a situation where the property began to be sold at auction, the ‘gift’ contracts were also declared invalid.  The same fate awaited other similar transactions of the entrepreneur.  Despite the efforts of VTB to return the loan funds, it has not yet been able to return the money in the proper amount.
