Bankruptcy proceedings against the largest water park in Siberia have been launched in Novosibirsk
The Arbitration Court of Novosibirsk introduced the bankruptcy proceedings against the Aquamir water park on September 24 - the largest indoor complex owed creditors more than 2.18 billion rubles.  The bankruptcy was initiated by the company itself in mid-August.

The area of   the Aquamir complex is more than 35 thousand square meters.  In October 2021, it will be five years since its opening in Novosibirsk.  The construction took 6.5 billion rubles, 4.5 billion rubles of which was the cost of priority work.

In August, Rusbankrot already published a material about the company's self-bankruptcy.
By now, many legal entities associated with the recreation area of   Novosibirsk have turned out to be insolvent.
VDT Stroy company was one of the first to be taken which under supervision in 2019 and was declared bankrupt by Mezhtopenergobank in 2020.  The company owned the water park and was the customer during the time of construction.  It is known that in August 2021, the Novosibirsk authorities demanded 17 million rubles from the company as a debt for the lease of a land plot.

In April, the arbitration court declared the insolvency of Petr Ovchinnikov, who chaired the board of the Kvarsis Group of Companies (the developer of the water complex).  Ovchinnikov owns a 12% stake in Aquamir.  As Rusbankrot noted in 2020, the process may turn out to be beneficial for the owner of companies that are part of the construction holding - it may become the opportunity to get rid of many guarantees.
We should recall that at the beginning of this year, the water park had to temporarily stop work due to the change of the tenant company.
The manager terminated the contract with the former tenant, having concluded a new one with Belaya Sphera.  Now Akvamir works, despite the bankruptcy, providing services for children and adults.  The cost of attending the park during the day, according to the data from the official website of the company, ranges from 1900-2200 rubles, depending on the age of clients.
