454 NOTIFICATIONS ON THE FIRST DAY: THE MORATORIUM ON BANKRUPTCY IS COMPLETED
According to the data of the Unified Federal Register of Bankruptcy Information, on October 2, immediately after the end of the moratorium on bankruptcy proceedings introduced on April 1, the first notice of the creditor's intention to file an application for recognition of the debtor as insolvent was filed.

It is noteworthy that the notification was published just a minute after midnight, followed by a second notification just a few seconds later.

As a result, on the very first day of the termination of the moratorium, the Unified Federal Register of Bankruptcy Information was replenished with 454 relevant notifications. This indicates that creditors have finally waited for the opportunity to continue to bankrupt their counterparties, and those, in turn, are forced to pay their debts again.

As expected, there was no extension of the restrictions, despite a number of requests from businesses.

A similar situation developed at one time after the end of the covid moratorium, which, unlike the current one, was extended by the Government of the Russian Federation repeatedly. And, it would seem, the experience of that time should have served as a lesson for debtors that they should be prepared for the flow of applications from counterparties and government agencies.

In addition to the burden on business, the current situation creates a significant amount of work for the courts, which did not stop the consideration of disputes already initiated during the moratorium, as well as the large number of cases initiated on applications filed on the eve of the moratorium.
