THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE PROPOSED TO IMPOSE FINES OF UP TO 2 MILLION RUBLES FOR THE OBSESSION OF COLLECTORS

From February 1, 2024, the debtor has the right not to communicate with the claimants personally and to interact with them by mail, in electronic format, through a notary office or "Public Services". The Ministry of Justice also proposes to introduce fines for non-compliance by collectors with decisions of executive authorities on limiting ways of interacting with the debtor. Officials will be able to be punished for this in the form of a fine from 50 to 100 thousand rubles or disqualification for up to one year. Organizations will be punished with fines from 200 to 300 thousand rubles.
