FACE MASK REQUIREMENTS WILL REMAIN IN MOSCOW AFTER SPRING
The Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin said that most of the restrictions in the capital would be lifted this spring. However, the face mask requirements may remain in force for a long time.
According to TASS, referring to the words of Sergei Sobyanin, most of the restrictions in Moscow were lifted in January-February 2021 - the remaining anti-epidemic measures are planned to be abolished this spring. However, the mayor of the capital stressed that the masks would not lose their relevance when attending metro stations and public events.
The rate at which the restrictions may be lifted will depend on the rate of vaccination and the formation of mass immunity.
Sobyanin noted that during the pandemic, the authorities learned to make decisions not in months, but in a day. If earlier, to resolve any issue, numerous approvals and agreements were required, then from March 2020, problems began to be solved with the help of one phone call.
Sergei Sobyanin emphasized that the past year gave him a unique management experience and added faith in people, because without the understanding and support of the residents of Moscow, the pandemic could take many more victims. The mayor of the capital also noted that billions of rubles were spent on the fight against coronavirus, but the losses can be called temporary, since the city's economy is quickly recovering.
