AUSTRIANS ARE BANNED FROM VISITING STORES WITHOUT A NEGATIVE COVID TEST

Austria tightened restrictions due to the pandemic - from April 7, residents of Vienna and the two eastern regions of the country will not be able to visit stores without confirming the absence of coronavirus. However, it will be possible to buy essential goods without tests.

The new restrictions were announced by the head of the Austrian Ministry of Health Rudolf Anschober - tightening of measures is necessary to prevent an overload of the medical system. If Austrians want to visit stores that do not sell essential goods, they will definitely need to take a negative Covid-19 test with them, otherwise they will not be allowed into the premises.

Hairdressing salons, massage parlors, and non-food stores were closed In Austria again.

What is more, the Austrians will not be able to purposelessly leave the house. The only exceptions are sports, urgent trips and walks. It was noted that the requirements for protective masks would also be tightened. After Catholic Easter (April 4), Austrian schoolchildren will be on distance learning for a week.

In Austria, there is the worst coronavirus situation in the eastern regions. At the moment, the country's authorities are trying to turn the tide and bring down the wave of morbidity, preventing the overload of hospitals.
