The Russian Foreign Ministry is preparing documents for the opening of duty-free shops. They may open in Moscow and St. Petersburg, RIA Novosti writes.
As the agency was informed in the Department of press service and information of the main directorate for the maintenance of the diplomatic corps at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, work is currently underway to document the activities of duty-free shops. Among the documents being prepared are the articles of association, the agreement on the establishment of a limited liability company, the provisions on holding an open competition to select co-founders.
Earlier it also became known that the activities to open duty-free shops for diplomats are conducted in accordance with the decree of the Russian government dated July 26, 2022. It provides that the cost of goods will be set in rubles, dollars and euros. It will be possible to get into such a store only upon presentation of documents certifying accreditation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
