THE EX-BILLIONAIRE WAS ATTRACTED TO A SOLIDARITY SUBSIDY FOR 700 MILLION
The bankruptcy of Fregat-Yug brought Anatoly Butorin, the founder of Bely Fregat Group, and Ivan Baranov, the ex-head, to the subsidiary. According to the verdict of the court, about 716.2 million rubles may be demanded from the ex-billionaire. So far, production has been suspended because settlements with creditors have not been completed. The list of defendants may include four more former heads of the bankrupt company and several legal entities.
Fregat-Yug (INN 3426010613) began the bankruptcy process in 2019 (case no. A12-46432/2019). Prior to this, the financial indicators of the enterprise located in the Volgograd region annually reported revenue of more than 1 billion rubles. The company's assets were estimated at 2.5 billion. The organization was part of the White Frigate Group of Companies, which appeared on the market in 2000.
In 2009, for the first time, he found himself in conflict with creditors over a debt of 2 billion rubles. It did not come to the recognition of insolvency then. In 2016, the situation with possible bankruptcy was repeated. Counterparties, including Miratorg, have filed financial claims against the holding. But then bankruptcy was avoided.
One of the leaders of the White Frigate told reporters in 2018 that he hoped to expand the business. In particular, he announced plans of the group of companies to acquire several poultry farms. The company was one of the leaders in the market of frozen poultry meat imports. In addition to Fregat-Yug, the holding also included the Bryansk poultry farm Pobeda-Agro.
In February 2021, Frigate-South received the status of bankruptcy. After that, the bankruptcy proceedings in the company were systematically extended. The last decision of the Volgograd arbitration court to extend the bankruptcy procedure until December 10, 2024 is dated August 12.
On September 25, the arbitration court issued a ruling on the involvement of Anatoly Butorin and Ivan Baranov in the subsidiary. At the same time, the court did not involve Roman Zolotarev and the Agrochemtorg company in the subsidy. The court canceled the interim measures that were imposed on Mikhail Chuvakov, Svetlana Suslova, Svetlana Lushakova and the Kromsky Feed Mill on August 16, 2022. The restrictions imposed on August 23, 2024 on the companies Oryol Leader and Oryol Chernozems were also lifted.
