IN THE NEW REGIONS, THEY CAN RETURN A SIMPLIFIED LAWYER STATUS
In the new regions of the Russian Federation, they plan to organize a simplified procedure for obtaining lawyer status again. The Ministry of Justice reported that this could happen in case of expansion of the territory controlled by the Russian Federation.
According to Vedomosti, on October 25, the Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko announced that 518 lawyers had started their work in the new regions. At the same time, Deputy Alexander Sidyakin noted the problem that lawyers who have received the status in a simplified manner leave to work in other regions.
The simplified procedure was introduced once in the DPR, LPR and Zaporozhye region. In the Kherson region, the procedure was introduced twice. With this procedure, the exam consisted only of an interview for knowledge of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Currently, there are no grounds for using this procedure in the new territories of Russia, exams are accepted in the same way as in other subjects of the Russian Federation.
The system of advocacy bodies was organized in the new entities at the end of last year. Currently, they are already firmly integrated into the legal space of Russia and fully perform their functions.
