THE BEAC HAS BEEN WRITING OFF LOANS TO VICTIMS OF TERRORIST ATTACKS AND MILITARY OPERATIONS FOR SEVERAL YEARS
Sberbank has decided to write off all loans to those who died from military and terrorist actions in the border territories of Russia. Since the first days of the Special Military Operation, the credit institution has focused on the continuity of its activities in the border territories of the Russian Federation. Customer support in the Belgorod and Kursk regions is a priority for the company.
The bank's press service reported that since 2019, Sberbank has been operating a support program for customers affected by emergencies. In 2022, this program was extended to borrowers living, evacuated in border areas and those who were injured or killed during a Special Military Operation.
At the same time, victims or evacuees from border areas can take advantage of an interest-free deferral for up to a year, the bank noted.
