ALL-RUSSIAN CENTER OF PUBLIC OPINION: RUSSIANS CONSIDER TAX COLLECTION AT A SINGLE RATE UNFAIR
The collection of the approach tax at a single rate of 13% from all Russians was called unfair by 67% of the surveyed citizens. The corresponding survey was conducted by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTSIOM).

1,600 Russians aged 18 and over took part in the survey.

More than 50% of citizens explained that they approve of high taxes if the population receives more free services from the state. At the same time, 27% of Russians said that taxes should be minimal. According to the respondents, in this case everyone will be able to manage their finances in the most correct way. Another 20% could not decide between the positions.

One third of the respondents choose to pay less taxes, noting that the services provided by the state may be of lower quality and not as affordable. However, half of the citizens agree to higher payments, while having confidence in the availability and quality of support from the state.
